PES 11 will have an edit option where you will be able to create your own stadium and also edit the stadium parts. Also you can now create your own league. There’s even an option in the edit mode where you can edit the background and choose what background you want. In the new edit mode you can change the colour of the goal nets and there’s even a mode where you can customize your game by adding things that are silly like a pumpkin heads and Mario clouds to make the game funnier and slightly wacky.
Here is a video from gamescon showing a few of the edit mode features and a few bouns which regards to new modes and other improvements.

PES 11 to have a better AI
The AI has much improve in this year’s pro, Konami has made the players smarter than before by allowing the players to be better at defending which gives you more options instead of the routine dive in and cause a foul. In PES 11 they try to force the player with the ball to make a mistake also in PES 11 the players move out the way so the player who you’re controlling can pass to whoever.
Now in PES 11 Konami has made the players Jostle more for the ball which means players would be trying to use their strength to get the ball. If you’re playing PES 11 you will be able to recognize that when you are using a player to dribble they will now take little touches on the ball automatically, players will be better at moving in positions to make better runs then PES 10 because the players AI is smarter which means that the players knows that they have to move into spaces and good positions and this is something that they will do regularly.
My views about the AI in PES 11.
I feel that PES 11 has done a great job in the AI department especially where AI improvements like your own players moving away when passed to a specific player and don’t want it to be blocked or intercepted by the wrong player in your team. In PES 10 I would get annoyed with my players because they would accidently block my passes. So that alone is pretty much a good idea and improvement in PES 11. What really impressed me was the Jostling because the players would be actually using their strength to get the ball which makes it more realistic. I’m also happy about the players moving in to better positions to make runs because now you can create more chances for your own players.
I also feel the little touches while your dribbling with a player is good because it makes the dribbling system more realistic and this idea gives you more control on dribbling which means you can use this to beat your man if you perfect it and become more skillfull.

New licenses, new teams, new stadiums.
Konami has included more licenses to more teams like Tottenham, Flamengo, Lanús, Estudiantes and much more which are in the Copa Libertadores (South American champions league) licensed by Konami. In the Copa Libertadores there are 32 South American teams also there will be a license for UEFA super cup in PES 11. There will be more new stadiums than before which are licensed and most of these stadiums will be in Europe.

PES 11 to make player movements better than ever!!
At last, 360 movements which mean now you can dribble in different angles which also mean you will have more freedom to dribble. Konami has made the dribbling system more responsive which means now you will have to work on your technique and the way you allow your players to dribble to get more from how dribbling works in Pro 11.
Animations of the players are more flexible when they are moving with the ball. Now you can use players which are gifted at dribbling for example Messi, Iniesta and Robben to take out defenders more easier in PES 11 because you can make these players move a lot more fluently on the pitch which means defenders will find it harder to tackle them.
My views
Pro evo this year I’m might just fall in love with you all over again!! It seems like konami have really listened to what we as PES fans want. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. With 360 movement which means now you can use players that are great at dribbling to skip pass defenders more easily then before of course you will need to be good at dribbling with the new system and all. This gives PES 11 a realistic effect if Konami can pull it this pro is will be by far the best because of the freedom of the movement, passing and even defending.

Improved defence system set for PES 11
After a few interviews with Seabass, Seabass informed us he would improve on the defence system in PES 11 by adding a 3 way defence system and also improve the overall computer AI in PES and also better physics of the players.
3 way defence system in PES 11
The 3 way defence system works by giving you a series of defending options such as standing of your opponent and waiting until it’s right to make a challenge, diving in quickly to cancel a successful pass to an opponent player from receiving and having time on the ball and also shrugging a player of the ball with brute force. Learning to use the X button and the left rolling stick are crucial to mastering defending in this new PES.
AI of players playing in defence.
The AI will be upgraded in defence which means now your players will no longer stupidly dive in as before instead your players are more likely to force the opponent player with the ball to make a mistake. There will also be better player physics which means now in your players will tussle for the ball by using their strength.
My views
I think that changing the defence system is a smart move because in PES 10 the defenders wasn’t smart enough, they would always dive in at times without you saying so but it seems now in PES 11 the 3 choices which you can choose in the defence system all lead to helping you defend more effectively, this makes the game more realist and you much better control.

Has Become A Legend really improved?
Become a legend is set to have a few changes implemented such as more playable positions (allowing you to now play the role of all defending roles). BAL in PES 11 has options to choose what kind of player your character will become for example a good finisher, an all rounder and a good midfield passer.
There is no longer scout matches anymore which was the first match you as a youth player would have to play to receive your stats instead they will give you seven slots which are defence, shooting , passing , power, speed and stamina, in which you have a maximum of five spaces on each skill slot to fill. The points you given are only 14 points, so you will need to fill in the skills depending on what kind of player you want to establish.
When a team comes in for your services they offer you a contract which is more detailed because it tells us what style the team plays or how much playing time percentage you should expect during the season. Also when your character is about to play a match the manger talks to about how he wants you to play in the match and also what he wants you to do while you’re on the pitch.
My views about become a legend improvements
Konami that is amazing really it’s is amazing! If Konami can add these additions in BAL this will make the mode much better just because they have added more positions and we don’t have to play a scout match. We can even choose what you want your character to become which gives you more direction on what kind of player your BAL character becomes in the future. This was not possible in PES 10 and is a welcome addition that may very well make playing BAL or more pleasant experience.

Pro evolution 2011: finally freedom on passing
Konami has finally understood that they have to improve on the passing and PES 11 promises to deliver. They have improved the passing system to give players a lot more freedom then before by which you have to now take your time and pass accurately to players on your team. They even added a power bar at the bottom of the screen to show how hard or soft your passes will be. They have added 360 degrees radius on passing which means that you can pass in different angles.
Apparently the passing system is so much better that now you can combine a series of well timed passes like, through balls, short and long passes to build up play. This new passing system that Konami has made shows us that in PES 11 players have to concentrate to get the passing right.
My views about these improvements on passing.
If Konami can add the freedom of passing in PES 11 the game will be a good game because the passing will be more manual and you can pass to whoever you want without the computer helping you. This can help you build up play the way you want to. It will also be easier to make passes that you couldn’t do at PES 10. So yeh I think if the new passing system is as good as konami say then they will definitely challenge FIFA 11.
I also feel that the bar that tells you how hard or soft your pass is, I think will be a very good idea because this will show to us how to weigh a pass according to where the players are in the pitch.

Part 3: PES 10 promised to have 360 movements, changes to master league and improvements in the graphics department.
Before the release of pro evolution 2010 Konami stated that they were going to improve the graphics of the player’s faces by putting in more detail to make it look more realistic. Konami has claimed that they have improved the movement so the players don’t move as stiff as the last PES (PES 09). Konami also promised us fans that they were going to add 360 movement on the players.
They added in master league a youth system which means at the starting you get rubbish youth but when you get to the end of the season you get new youth that might be good or if you are unlucky you get bad youth.
When I heard those improvements both me and my bro was excited because we thought this would help Konami step up and make it harder for FIFA. We felt like this PES was going to be the best so far.
It took a few months but finally I got my hands on the game. I played it on the computer and the first mode that I was played was master league. Master league was interesting because it had improved a lot; there were even small additions such as the currency (pounds and Euros). The introduction of a scout was also another nice small addition because it helped me search for players that I wanted. The biggest addition was the youth team, at the end of every season there was new youth added to your youth team which was good especially if you were lucky enough to receive great young talented youth players, but that was not always the case it was also very possible to get youth with rubbish stats. Even though it would take hard work it was possible in the future to make them good by giving them the right cards and training. I really liked it a lot because your youth system could make your team a very solid unit and be a reason why you win cups. PES had added champion league and Europa league on master league and a season felt more realistic, it actually seemed like my team was playing in the tournaments. So overall PES did a great job on improving master league.
When I played a match in master league the movement was still a bit stiff and personally I felt that yes they had improved the movement, but Konami it wasn’t 360 movement like you promised. 360 movement would have been nice, smooth and swift. No human being turns 90 degrees like a robot if anyone says they turn like that they must be someone from another planet.
PES 10 had got the graphics exceptionally good, they have made it even better than before by adding shadows on players faces to give it more realism.
I enjoyed PES 10 more than PES 09 because master league had really improved and the player movements were better, the AI of the players in PES 10 was much smarter than PES 09. The graphics also were far better than PES 09.
The problems about pro evolution 2010 that I didn’t enjoy was that I found playing on console a little frustrating because the responding was bad. For example they didn’t pass as quickly as I wanted them to or the defenders would make stupid mistakes without me telling them to or your own player would block a pass or a shot. We didn’t have that much freedom.
The improvements I want to see in PES 2011 is for them to really implement 360 movement and to allow us gamers to have more freedom with regards to how our team plays. The players AI’s should also be better and for response times of player actions to be made sharper in accordance to gamer instructions. A great addition to BAL mode would be to be able to play more positions in become a legend.
Here is a detailed video showing PES 2010 game play it features a quarter of a full match.. Enjoy!

Part 2: Two modes added on PES 09.
Konami introduced two modes in PES 09 which were become a legend and champions league. In become a legend you were able to make your character and choose what position he plays in. The character that you created starts off as a 17 year old and your first match is one which is a scout match in which you’re playing to impress. Once the match is complete, a team makes an offer depending on how well you played and this determines whether you end up in a decent side.
When you start at your new team you’re a youth player, but gradually after playing a few matches and playing well, the manger puts you on the bench. In most of the games your player will come on as a sub. When you play well the manager rewards you by putting you in the starting eleven.
If you have a good game while playing in the first team for a long time like two or three seasons a bigger team will often come in for you during negotiations. As you continue playing become a legend you will see that you’re characters stats are improving slowly but sooner or later your their stats will be so good that it is easy for you to use them.
In champion’s league mode you can only have 6 multiplayer’s playing. The tournament starts by a series of stages such as the group stages and the knock out stage and the quarter final and the semi final and last and but definitely not the least the final. When you start to get further in the champions league it gets harder but if you have a strong team you will probably win the tournament.
PES 09: My views
When I played become a legend for the first time, the thing I liked about it was that your player could have crap stats at the starting of their career and by the end you could be world class and have stats around 95 or more. You also got to customize your player in whatever shape and form you wanted.
Champions league mode I found quite exciting because there was lot of teams like Man U and Barcelona to play against which made it challenging. Also scoring a sick goal against a word class team like real Madrid was a great feeling and made you want to save the goal instantly. Being in the champions league final is quite nerve racking but definitely one of the highlights of this mode.
Things that ticked me off about PES 09
The main menu page didn’t look that nice because it looked too colorful. The player’s movement was also a concern because the movement was almost the same as PES 08. The commentating was not great at all, if you played pro for a long time like 3 or 2 hours that’s when you’d noticed that the commentating had stopped completely.
In the starting of become a legend the AI of the players are so low that when you controlling your pro evolution character and your asking the players around you to pass the ball and your character is in good position, they would normally run to the corner and get tackled or they would produce a really bad pass and lose the ball which got frustrating at times. The player’s faces were fine but some faces still were too shiny which made it look like the faces were plastic.

Part 1: The journey begins
In 2007 I found PES 08 sick!! I used to shoot from the half way line and it would be in the back of the net I was like the Pele of PES 08 (that’s what I thought anyway). I even used to get classic players but first you have to unlock them by win tournaments. There was one that I will never forget he’s name is Johan Cruyff I used to shoot from distance with this guy and the ball always used to be in the net. In PES 08 when you score a great goal there’s a replay were you just keep on showing the goal to your mates just to make them jealous.
The faces in PES 08 looked pretty cool the player’s body shapes were also quite cool as well. The thing that made PES 08 a great game for me was that you could use patches to totally customize the game to your needs, to the point where you could add new faces and change up football team kits as well. You could even change up the front menu page and make it look far better than the default.
The bad thing about PES 08
The thing that I found annoying about PES 08 was that the movement was stiff and sometimes the defenders would do stupid things (sliding into the back of players without permission). It was also too easy it wasn’t challenging enough.
Overall PES 08 was the game that made me understand why there was so much talk about The Pro Evolution genre. In the next Pro evolution (PES 09) I expected the player movement to change and be more realistic, the player’s faces to look much better than PES 08 and also for Konami to have more football team kits in the English league. I also hoped the AI of players would be much better than PES 08. Below I've put together a few pictures of what I think PES 08 had to offer.
In the next post I will be talking about my experiences with PES 09 and whether it lived up to expectations.
